Great Glinsk Run 5K

The Great Glinsk Run on 19 July 2026 includes a 10km road race and a 5km and 1km fun run/walk in Co Galway.

The 10km race takes runners on a gently undulating route through quiet backroads, passing lush green fields and traditional stone walls that define the Galway landscape. It has an elevation gain of 79m with a scenic downhill finish.

The 5km is a mainly flat 2-lap route with an elevation gain of 26m. The compact yet rewarding course is ideal for a quick tempo run, PB breakers, or a casual jog on race day.

The 1km fun run/walk includes laps of the Glinsk GAA pitch on the tarred walking track. It is an easy, leisurely loop, ideal for prams and groups of young and old.

This event is a charity fundraiser for Caisleán Oir Creche, alongside Glinsk GAA, Glinsk LGFA and Glinsk Community Development.
